Through this section, you will be able to keep updated with some of the top issues in which OPA is currently involved.

Dick Goin was a dedicated conservationist, a skilled fly fisherman, and a lifelong champion for the cause of protecting wild salmon in Olympic Peninsula rivers. A passionate and informed spokesman for wild fish, his death, in 2015, has left a silence in the ongoing dialog over the fate of the Olympics’ wild salmon populations.

Fortunately, German filmmaker Claudia Willke interviewed Dick on Siebert Creek in July 2001. This extended interview was edited by noted photographer (and OPA advisor) Mary Peck, and production was completed by Capital Video in Santa Fe, New Mexico. With gratitude for their efforts and thanks to Dick’s family, OPA is honored to present this documentary film, “A Walk on the River with Dick Goin.”
